Planning for the future
There is a lot to think about when I am thinking about my senior year. This year stands out from the rest because I have been trying my hardest to finish my classes and I have had some great experiences. Experiences such as meeting new friends, going to Scicon, and many other events. Thanks to these great experiences I have had, this year seems to be like the best one yet. Since the start of this year my teachers have game me the support I need in order to get caught up. They have also gave me the tools I’ve needed in order to finish my classes.
Before the semester ends I plan to have most of my classes either on pace or ahead. I am staying after school and using the resources around me in order to finish my classes. Not only do my teachers help, but also some of my friends that are ahead of me in my classes help me out. This year I have been trying really hard to stay on pace because I know there is no room for error and I do not have time to lose.
Thinking about graduate is a scary thought. Not only do I need to finish classes still, but also I have my senior project due. The senior project is something small that we have to do but it takes up some time and I really don’t have a lot. However, it is a fun way for me to express myself. My senior projects allows me to reflect on myself and it also helps me plan out how I am going to finish this year and what I am going to do after I graduate.
Currently, the future for me looks scary. I do not really have a plan for life after graduation. Whether or not I go to college or straight to work is a challenge I am facing. This is because I do not really know what field I want to be majoring in or even what college I should go to. Also, I am thinking about how I am going to go to college if I do not even have money to pay for it, I mean yeah there is a lot of scholarships but what if money I receive isn’t enough. My current plan for college is to go to a community college first just to complete my GED then transfer to a university.
Currently I am thinking about going to C.O.S and transferring either to Fresno State or UC Bakersfield. However, thinking about the different prices of tuition and the total costs of college I am still unsure of how my future will be. Something I can say will happen is that I will go to college. The reason is not only for me but also for my family. I want to be able to show my parents my college diploma and see the expression of my parents face when they see me graduate from a university.
